How to approach summer internship recruiting in product, marketing and strategy roles.

Timelines vary by industry and change from year to year, so check with your school's career center first. In general, consulting and banking recruit earliest, while tech and startups often recruit later and more on a rolling basis.

Start with a target list of 30 to 50 companies across a few tiers, then go deep on networking with alumni and current employees before applications open. Keep notes on every conversation.
